Sporting Group has announced that Paul Turner is to step down as head of the spread betting company’s Sporting Index business.

Turner moved to the newly created role in June of last year, having previously served as marketing director at the company.

Sporting Index focuses on the company’s legacy spread betting B2C services and encompasses the firm’s Sporting Solutions betting software and data subsidiary.

Confirmation of Turner’s exit comes after the company last month revealed it is to switch all is operations to the newly created ‘Sporting Group’ brand.

The firm said that the new brand, which will incorporate the Sporting Solutions division, has been evolved from a “desire to create one group that share the same core strengths”.
