UK Tote Group rolls out new digital platform
The UK Tote Group, the consortium of racecourse owners formerly known as Alizeti, has launched a new website for UK pool betting service the Tote.
Available on desktop and mobile, tote.co.uk features the new ‘Tote Guarantee’, a service that ensures the Tote will match the industry starting price (SP) or pay the pool price if the latter is bigger than the SP on all win bets placed on the site.
Tote Guarantee has been trialled on a number racecourses during February and the UK Tote Group will continue to test the service through to the end of the month for upcoming meetings at Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Doncaster, Kelso, Newbury and Wincanton.
The new website will continue to undergo development and improvements with additional features being added, while all new customers signing up to tote.co.uk will receive a £10 risk-free bet.
“Racing fans and customers are at the heart of everything we are doing at the Tote, central to this is the launch of the new website and Tote Guarantee which are major innovations for the pool betting experience,” UK Tote Group managing director Mark Kemp said.
“This is just the start of the new era for the Tote. We have numerous new developments to roll out in the coming weeks and months during what promises to be a really exciting time for the Tote.”
The launch of the new site come after UK Tote Group completed its acquisition of the Tote in October of last year, in a deal that saw it become the sole owner of the service.
Last month, it as also confirmed that Eamonn Wilmott had stepped down from his role as chairman of the UK Tote Group. Wilmott will now focus on his other commitments, including his position as chairman of Total Performance Data, the racing data company he founded in 2013.
