Gaming Realms has appointed Chris Bell, former chief executive of Ladbrokes, as a non-executive director.

Bell joined the Hilton Group in 1991 and was named managing director of the company’s Ladbrokes Worldwide business in 1994.

In 2000, Bell was appointed to the Hilton Group board and, after the disposal of its hotels division in 2006, he became chief executive of Ladbrokes.

He served in the role until May 2010, after which he went on to serve in a host of director and partner board roles at the likes of The Rank Group, XLMedia and TechFinancials.

Bell remains chairman of both XLMedia and TechFinancials, as well as the senior independent director of The Rank Group.

Michael Buckley, chairman of Gaming Realms, said: “We are delighted that Chris has agreed to join the company; he brings a wealth of experience of the gaming industry and extensive corporate knowledge which will help us to develop the company further.”
