GVC Holdings has appointed Liron Snir, formerly of Playtech, to the newly-created role of chief product officer.

Snir has worked in the online gaming industry for more than 16 years, a career that included a six-year spell as vice-president product and strategy at Playtech, as well as more than six years as vice-president of customer relations at the firm.

In his new role with GVC, a position created following the company's acquisition of bwin.party, Snir will be responsible for overseeing product management and the overall user experience.

Kenny Alexander, chief executive of GVC, said: “Liron's considerable expertise in online gaming, product development, product integration and platform assimilation will be an invaluable asset in ensuring growth follows the successful integration of GVC's and bwin.party's products, brands and operations.

“This appointment reflects our commitment to delivering best of breed products and services to our growing client base.

“It is testament to the merits of the GVC and bwin.party merger that the enlarged company can attract and retain such talent and we continue to seek further key appointments.”
