iGaming Cloud appoints new COO
iGaming Cloud (iGC), the GIG subsidiary, has appointed Cristina Niculae as its new chief operating officer.
The Malta-based platform and technology provider said Niculae will be tasked with planning and overseeing iGC's operational strategies, initiatives and goals, and establishing policies that promote iGC's company culture and vision.
Niculae, who has an MSc in Mobile and Satellite Telecommunications, joins iGC following a spell as director (open payment clouds) and head of project management office at FinTech company Ixaris. She previously held senior technology roles at telecoms company Ericsson and fast food group McDonald’s.
“Cristina's expertise is easily transferrable to her role in GIG as the vision, commercialisation, operation and implementation of an open ecosystem are similar,” iGC said in a statement.
“In her role as COO Cristina will be responsible for driving results through creativity and accountability in a performance oriented culture among a group of diverse and talented individuals with the end goal of sustainable business growth.”
During her time at Ixaris, Niculae helped to raise millions in funding and led the multi-million-euro development of an open payments ecosystem.
“I am delighted to join the iGC at such an exciting stage of its business development,” said Niculae.
“I was impressed with the brilliant team I met and I look forward to bring to the team all the experience I have gained over the years, my passion for results, for working with people as well as my enthusiasm for what the iGaming Cloud business vision can achieve.”
