Jackpotjoy plc has appointed Irina Cornides as chief executive of its Jackpotjoy division.

Reporting directly to chief executive Andrew McIver, Cornides will be tasked with maintaining a strong relationship between Jackpotjoy plc and Jackpotjoy, as well as helping set the strategic direction for the Jackpotjoy arm and overseeing the running of the brands.

Cornides joins the company after most recently serving as chief revenue officer at Intertain Bahamas, the holding company for the operating assets belonging to Jackpotjoy plc.

Earlier in her career, Cornides enjoyed spells with Mandalay Media, prior to its acquisition by Intertain, as well as Party Gaming, both pre- and post-IPO.

“I am very excited about this role; although Jackpotjoy is already the leading bingo brand in the UK, we have big plans to further enhance player experience and grow the business,” Cornides said.

Chief executive McIver added: “We are delighted that Irina has accepted a key role in our operating subsidiary, as she brings a wealth of experience and has demonstrated her ability to successfully grow and maintain our businesses.

“Irina has a deep understanding of the Jackpotjoy business and our relationships with Gamesys, who fully support her appointment.”
