Åland-based gambling company Paf has appointed Daniela Johansson as deputy chief executive.

Johansson has worked at Paf for 15 years and served in a number of roles, most recently as chief responsibility officer, where she oversaw the firm’s work with responsible gaming.

In addition, Johansson has been a member of the company's management team since 2014.

Johanna Backholm, Paf's chief human resources officer who has been serving as deputy chief executive, will remain in the role, meaning that the company will now operate with two deputy chief executives.

“I am personally honoured by the appointment; I’m glad that the job I, and the whole department, do is important to Paf,” Johansson said in a statement.

Christer Fahlstedt, chief executive of Paf, added: “Daniela is a natural leader and a good representative of Paf both internally and externally.

“During Daniela's time as CRO Paf has developed into becoming a forerunner in the field.

“Paf’s ambitions in the field of responsibility will not diminish, and Daniela therefore has a very important role in Paf’s future development and strategy.”
