Betcade has been granted approval by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.

The company, which launched late last year as the first dedicated store for real-money gaming applications on Android, is now recognised as an ‘Authorised Payment Institution’ in the UK.

Betcade can now offer a range of safe mobile payment processing services, such as credit cards, ewallets and bank transfers, to customers in the UK gambling industry.

Paul Barclay, general manager of Betcade Europe, said: “At the forefront of our launch remains the focus to deliver not only a trustworthy platform, but a secure environment for both operators and consumers.

“This milestone marks an important part of our payment solutions and one that enables us to deliver all the great features and benefits we’ve been working on over the past two years.

“It’s a proud moment for the global Betcade team who’ve worked extremely hard to build a best in class app store for the gambling industry.”
