Major operator enhances its partnership with SG Digital to integrate content aggregation platform in the UK and other European markets, with the solution already powering its iGaming offering in New Jersey

Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) is to integrate SG Digital’s Open Gaming System (OGS) content aggregation platform in the UK and other European markets for the first time.

The operator will integrate a bespoke version of the platform with its existing systems across its brands in the UK, Ireland and Italy. OGS offers more than 2,000 casino titles from SG Digital’s in-house games studios and third-party content providers.

PPB has a long-standing partnership with Scientific Games and its digital division, with the operator already using OGS in the New Jersey iGaming, as well as the OpenBet sportsbook solution.

SG Digital said the enhancement of the partnership was an important milestone for OGS, one of the systems it acquired through the $631m deal for NYX Gaming Group, finalised in January 2018.

“We’re thrilled to have delivered our OGS service to long-standing partner Paddy Power Betfair for its UK, Irish and Italian operations,” said Dylan Slaney, SG Digital’s senior vice president (casino).

“They are an established operator with a sizeable offering and the decision to integrate OGS for its key regulated markets is further endorsement of the scalability and quality of our gaming product portfolio.”

SG Digital has signed a series of deals incorporating OGS since it completed the acquisition of NYX Gaming a year ago. Svenska Spel, Kindred Group and New Jersey’s Hard Rock Hotel are among those to have integrated the content aggregation platform.

Former NYX Gaming CEO Matt Davey left his position as chief executive of SG Digital in December 2018 – just 11 months after Scientific Games completed the big-money deal for the technology supplier and its products. Jordan Levin, previously senior vice president for corporate development and former president of SG Interactive, has taken over the reins at the division.
