OpenBet has signed a five-year extension to its licence, development and support partnership with Sky Betting & Gaming.

Under the renewed deal, software provider OpenBet will continue to supply the operator with its online and mobile sports betting platform and will have full independence to innovate and differentiate by building its own customers interfaces on the platform.

OpenBet has been in partnership with Sky Betting & Gaming since the operator launched in 2001.

“OpenBet has been an integral component of our business since day one; against ever-changing regulatory frameworks and fast-moving technological developments they continue to deliver,” Sky Betting & Gaming chief executive Richard Flint said.

“The OpenBet platform gives us the flexibility to create a first class sports book that fits our brand and our players’ needs.”

Jeremy Thompson-Hill, chief executive of OpenBet, added: “The deal reflects both the confidence Sky Betting & Gaming have in our ability to support their growth and the outstanding relationship maintained by all of those working on their development team.”
