Tipico launches prepaid payment app in Germany

Tipico has strengthened its service offering in Germany by launching a new prepaid deposit application for customers in the country.

Developed in partnership with Funanga, the new app will allow punters to top up their account via a smartphone.

The app will feature Funanga’s ‘Cash to Code’ solution, with Tipico customers selecting an amount they want to deposit, after which a barcode will appear for them to use as confirmation of their deposit when paying the amount in cash in a sales outlet.

Once the outlet approves the code, the player’s account will be credited and they will receive a notification from the app that the transaction has been successful.

Prepaid cards will be made available in various shops across Germany, while the app is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
