Flutter consolidates International business, reveals new UK&I CEO

The consolidated Flutter international business will now consist of five regions, including the UK & Ireland (UKI), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Southern Europe & Africa (SEA), Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) and Brazil.

The US business, however, will remain as is with Amy Howe at the helm. Taylor will oversee the enlarged international business. He has been the Flutter International chief executive since July 2020.

The restructure will see Kevin Harrington (pictured), currently the CEO of PokerStars, take the helm at Flutter UKI. He will move into the role from January 2025 and report directly to Taylor.

Harrington is replacing Ian Brown, who is stepping down as CEO of Flutter UK&I after over two years in the position. During this time, he oversaw the Sky Betting & Gaming, Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and PokerStars brands.

Prior to being CEO at PokerStars, Harrington was chief commercial officer international at Flutter. He also spent time at managing director of Betfair and commercial director for Flutter UKI.

Jackson honours departing Flutter UK&I CEO

On taking over as UKI CEO, Harrington said: “I’m incredibly proud to be given the chance to take over and run a business I first joined more than a decade ago. I want to continue the work that has made Flutter the clear market leader across the UK and Ireland and maintain the high standards we have set – with responsible gambling at the core of all our work.”

Flutter CEO Peter Jackson added: “Ian’s time at Flutter has been enormously successful. He has transformed the UK and Ireland business on almost every metric, and he will be a hard act to follow.

“Kevin’s promotion is very well-deserved, and the business will be in safe hands as we embark on the next phase of our growth plan.”

In its Q3 results on 13 November Flutter revealed a 74% increase in EBITDA to $450 million (£353.3 million/€423.9 million). The company also raised guidance on revenue and EBITDA by 1%.
