Genius appoints former NFL finance chief Williams-Bradley to board
The appointment is effective immediately and will see the number of board members at Genius increase to nine, with Williams-Bradley also set to join the board’s Audit and Compensation Committees.
Williams-Bradley has spent over two decades working in key leadership positions within the sports and media fields. Aside from her role with the NFL itself, she served as chief operating officer of NFL Network, the league’s television network.
She also spent time as of chief financial officer at Core Media Group and was on the global advisory board at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
Most recently, Williams-Bradley was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Warner Brothers Entertainment Group, where she was responsible for establishing and managing financial strategy.
“I am thrilled to be joining Genius’ board at such a pivotal moment for the industry, as the sports, betting and media sectors increasingly converge,” Williams-Bradley said.
“Genius Sports continues to shape the direction of the industry and the use of official data; revolutionising how sports leagues capture new revenue streams, while delivering greater value and security for sports books and their customers
Genius chair David Levy added: “On behalf of the board, we are delighted to welcome Kim. She is a highly regarded professional with a wealth of experience in the finance and sports media sectors, whose accomplished perspective will strengthen and diversify the board’s decision-making capabilities.
“We are pleased to have Kim join our team to help drive our strategic vision as an integral member of our Board and Audit Committee.”
The new appointment comes after Genius in May raised revenue guidance for its 2021 financial year, following a 51.8% year-on-year increase in revenue in the first quarter.
Genius now expects to achieve between $250m (£181.9m/€212.2m) in full-year revenue.
