Betsson Group has joined forces with Scout Gaming to launch a daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform

Betsson Group has joined forces with Scout Gaming to launch a daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform.

Under the agreement, Scout Gaming will deliver the platform, with Betsson able to offer a complete DFS solution across its subsidiaries and to all customers.

Betsson expects to fully integrate the Scout Gaming platform into its product offering early next year.

The move comes after Betsson earlier this month become the first sportsbook operator to integrate the new Opta 3D football visualisation product from Perform Content, part of the Perform Group.

“We have evaluated how to extend our sports offering and in particular the possibilities related to daily fantasy sports; broadening our target audience as well as increasing loyalty among existing players are two key demands we can address with DFS,” Betsson director of gaming, Andy Broughton Braithwaite, said.

“Scout Gaming not only offers a wide selection of sports but is also able to support local and niche events, which is important to us.

“Scout also offers the largest European liquidity network, which was an important consideration in our selection process.”

Andreas Ternström, chief executive Scout Gaming, added: “This agreement confirms that Daily Fantasy Sports is rapidly gaining ground and is expected to be the next online gaming growth vertical.”
