The Gauselmann Group's UK division has partnered with British motorway service area chain Roadchef in order to deploy over 500 arcade and pub gaming machines across Roadchef sites and redsign Roadchef's 30 Adult Gaming Centers (AGCs).

The Gauselmann Group's UK division has partnered with British motorway service area chain Roadchef in order to deploy over 500 arcade and pub gaming machines across Roadchef sites and redsign Roadchef's 30 Adult Gaming Centers (AGCs).

Gauselmann UK, which includes the subsidiaries Blueprint Gaming, Blueprint Operations, Regal Gaming & Leisure and Merkur Engineering, said it would launch Blueprint's newest slot machine, the Aurora Noir, at the sites. Gauselmann said the machine performs “better than average” at British pubs.

The company said it would also launch two Reel Time Games products, Eye of Horus and Fishin 'Frenzy, and the server-based gaming system MARS.

Gauselmann said it believes the slot machiens could be deployed at Roadchef sites by the summer.

Ryan Collinge, business development director of the Blueprint Group, said it was important that the company tailored its offering to the rest stop market, rather than copying its arcade offering.

“For an ideal product mix can not copy the arcade offer 1:1,” said Ryan Collinge, business development director of the Blueprint Group. “With fewer places to park in the rest area and in most cases only four B3 devices, it's important to have the highest performing product.

“We have achieved this with excellent games, both for category C and category B3 devices, such as Eye of Horus and Fishing Frenzy. “

Earlier this week, Gauselmann Group appointed Rene Abou el Alla as the new chief product officer for its Merkur Sportwetten sports betting business in Germany.
