Golden Nugget Atlantic City has become the first land-based casino in the US to launch an online live dealer casino hold’em poker table.

The variant on Texas hold’em has been available on GoldenNuggetCasino.com since December 23, alongside other live dealer services such as Dragon Bonus Baccarat, American roulette and blackjack.

The casino hold’em table is able to service an unlimited number of players and is available to access via a desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

In addition to the base poker game, players can wager on side bets for increased odds on hitting a top five-card poker hand, determined from their two hole cards and the first three community cards.

Golden Nugget Atlantic City, which is based in the state of New Jersey, developed the new offering in partnership with Ezugi NJ.

“Being the first to offer a live dealer version of the world’s most popular poker game in America, casino hold’em, shows our commitment to delivering on an innovative and world class product to our patrons,” Golden Nugget senior vice-president and general manager online gaming, Thomas Winter, said.

“Our patrons have asked and we are happy to deliver on this request using our unique live dealer digital platform.”

Kfir Kugler, chief executive of Ezugi New Jersey, which also partnered Golden Nugget on its other live dealer games, added: “America is in love with poker, and by using the live dealer platform, the game retains its strong connection between the player and the dealer in a live environment.”
