iGaming solutions giant Playtech has launched a new slot game with a built-in Game Modifier feature to customise play for certain players.

Developed by the Playtech Origins studio, Space Digger enables operators to tweak gameplay for groups of players or individual customers.

The Game Modifier can be unlocked manually or configured in IMS to unlock based on pre-defined criteria, with licensees able to offer players an additional stacked wild during the free spins bonus round for larger wins.

Operators can also use the Playtech Engagement 360 tool to deliver modifier campaigns at key points in the player journey, including via in-game messaging.

“Game Modifiers are a unique proposition in the current market, offering our licensees an easy and effective way to differentiate their offering and boost player engagement,” Playtech’s director of casino James Frendo said.

Playtech first trialled the Game Modifiers feature with its Justice League slot late last year and is planning to launch more titles with this technology.

“Several of our customers have already run very successful Game Modifiers campaigns with Justice League, so we’re confident they will welcome the chance to do so again using our first game purpose-built for this feature, with more to come later this year,” Frendo said.
