Playtech has announced the launch of ‘21+3’, a blackjack side bet that introduces a poker-type game to the traditional table game.

The side bet is based on a player’s two cards and the dealer’s up-card. Should the three combined cards form a straight, flush, three-of-a-kind, straight flush or suited three-of-a-kind, the player will win a side bet pay-out with enhanced odds.

Players taking part in the ultimate live casino card game that receive a suited three-of-a-kind hand can win 100 times their original side bet.

Kevin Kilminster, head of live casino innovation at Playtech, said: “The 21+3 side bet is a great addition to the classic live casino blackjack game and puts the excitement of poker into every hand.

“It will appeal both to those players who are familiar with either card game, as well as new customers who have never played blackjack before, and we’re delighted to offer even more chances to win.”

Playtech has licensed 21+3 from Games Marketing, the exclusive online rights holder to the side bet game.
