Playtrex expands social offering with ‘Wild Poker’
Social gaming start-up Playtrex has launched a new social poker game in the form of ‘Wild Poker’.
Based on the classic Texas Hold’em format, Wild Poker features an additional layer of strategy, with players able to use a number of characters to ‘power up’ during rounds.
Playtrex said that it spent 12 months developing the game, basing its features on players’ behaviour and needs.
Daniel Kashmir, chief executive of Playtrex, said: “Nowadays, social poker, once the jewel of social casino gaming, is being abandoned by players because there is too much of the same out there.
“In addition, the user acquisition market has become saturated, and the low retention rates fired back as monetisation issues.
“Wild Poker is a new kind of social poker game offering a different experience; it addresses a larger market by providing an added layer of strategy which is appealing to both strategy gamers and social poker players, resulting in a high monetisation and in a journey that keeps players coming back for more.”
