UK online casino: Playtech dominates supplier market share; ‘own brands’ on the up

Playtech retained its position as the dominant online casino supplier in the UK market last month, but operators’ in-house suppliers have been the big market-share gainers of late, writes iGaming Tracker’s Ken Muir.

Playtech’s huge market share across UK sports betting sites along with its recent acquisitions of Eyecon and Quickspin helped it maintain its dominance of the UK casino supplier space, although the exclusive tabs it has with major UK betting sites play a key role, according to the latest data from specialist tracking service iGaming Tracker.

Operator-owned suppliers are however increasing their share of the UK market, with the likes of Cayetano (Paddy Power Betfair) and Core Gaming (Sky Bet) now appearing in the top 20 casino suppliers across UK sports betting sites.
