The agreement will support KingMidas Games’ ambitions to launch games to market faster and access a global network of over 2,000 brands.

KingMidas Games has recently partnered with Yggdrasil to join its YGG Masters programme and harness its proprietary Game in a Box technology, enabling the studio to create and launch games faster alongside expanding its international reach.

As part of the programme, the studio will build on Yggdrasil’s proprietary Game in a Box technology, giving the team greater control over production. They’ll have the flexibility to adjust mechanics, rework math models and server-side logic, and test different gameplay directions throughout development, helping them create and launch games faster.

For the studio, the agreement marks an important step in its global growth strategy. By combining its creative expertise with Yggdrasil’s technology, commercial support and distribution network of more than 2,000 brands. Together, these will help the studio accelerate the delivery of distinctive content and strengthen its presence in new markets.

Yggdrasil is delighted to welcome yet another studio to its YGG Masters programme – KingMidas Games brings a diverse portfolio of more than 150 titles, along with collaborations with renowned Japanese IP holders, adding recognisable characters, established worlds and distinctive gameplay to Yggdrasil’s growing network of partner studios.

Sargis Khachatryan, global commercial director at KingMidas Games, added: “We believe the future of gaming lies not just in how games are played, but in how they make players feel. At KingMidas Games, our ambition has always been to create distinctive experiences that resonate with players worldwide.

“Yggdrasil is a natural strategic partner for us, combining world-class technology, an extensive global network, and, most importantly, a shared commitment to innovation. Together, we look forward to accelerating our creative ambitions, bringing differentiated content to more markets and exploring new possibilities for an industry where creativity and emotional connection play an increasingly important role.”

Zoe Bird, head of YGG Masters, said: “We’re so excited to welcome KingMidas Games to the YGG Masters family! Their distinctive gameplay and Japanese IP collaborations bring something genuinely fresh to the programme, and we can’t wait to see what they can create with our new Game in a Box technology.

“We share the same passion for innovation and quality, and I’m really looking forward to working closely with the team, supporting them through development and celebrating the launch of their very first title with us.”
