The GambleAware charity has launched a search for a creative agency to support its new £7m (€7.9m/$9.7m) public awareness campaign.

According to PRWeek, the campaign will focus on low-level gamblers who are at risk of becoming addicts, highlighting the risks associated with gambling and how to avoid them.

GambleAware said it has been asked by the government to head up the initiative and is now seeking an agency to support the project, which will be funded by the gambling industry and various broadcasters.

The campaign is expected to begin this August and run for a period of two years.

GambleAware will work with British advertising organisation the IBSA to select an agency partner for the project.
