Playtech has today (Wednesday) completed a share buyback programme worth €50 million ($52 million).

Announced earlier this month, Playtech said the scheme would help to reduce its share capital by means of “purchasing its ordinary shares from time to time” in order to make market purchases of up to six million ordinary shares.

Playtech purchased a total of 5,280,000 ordinary shares during the initiative, which was funded from the company’s existing cash resources.

Canaccord Genuity Limited was appointed to carry out the purchase of shares on behalf of Playtech.
