| By iGB Editorial Team

iGaming Business wishes to clarify a news article it published on 8 March about the Malta Gaming Authority suspending the licence of a Malta-based company named Random Games Limited.

Clarification: the UK-based company also called Random Games Limited is in no way associated with the company of the same name registered in Malta (registration number C50145) referenced in the story.

The MGA suspended that company's licence indefinitely on 3 March so as not to compromise an ongoing enquiry it was carrying out on its activities.

In a statement, the MGA said: “Random Games Limited has been directed to indefinitely suspend all gaming operations, cease to register new players, suspend all transactions on all websites including deposits and withdrawals and submit all data and documentation requested by the [Malta Gaming] Authority.”

The Malta Gaming Authority also advised players waiting for an outstanding payment from Random Games Limited to contact its office via [email protected] quoting their full name, address, birth date, telephone number and username while additionally including a copy of their passport or photo identification card and a screenshot of their balance or pending cash out.

“The [Malta Gaming] Authority hereby notifies that any websites operated by Random Games Limited or associated with Random Games Limited and which make reference to the [Malta Gaming] Authority or [remote gaming license MGA/CL1/670/2010] is not approved to be operational by the [Malta Gaming] Authority,” it added.

“Due to the suspension of the license, Random Games Limited is therefore not authorized to continue conducting gaming by means of distance communications under [a Malta Gaming] Authority

As stated, the article published at the time in no way related to the UK-based company called Random Games Limited (company number 06560435), or any intellectual property owned or licensed by said company.
