Lottery operator Maltco will now be able to offer its products to customers online, as part of its digital transformation strategy. The games are available as of today (30 October) for players located within Malta.

Maltco CEO Vasileios Kasiotakis added: “today’s announcement is a result of relentless work and effort of Maltco Lotteries’ and Intralot’s teams, adapting efficiently at speed and scale under the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Meanwhile, the supplier has extended an existing six-year agreement with the Georgia Lottery Corporation, to 2029.
It has supplied the operator with a central monitoring and accounting system since 2014, as well as reporting, training, staffing and other support services for the successful operation and regulation of its coin operated amusement machine (COAM) products.
There are two types of COAMs currently permitted in Georgia. Examples of Class A COAMs include kiddie rides, skeeball, claw machines, pinball games, typical arcade games, pool tables that accept coins or bills, and juke boxes. Most Class B COAMs in Georgia are redemption devices that are also games of skill, and that may allow a successful player to carry over points won on one play to a subsequent play or plays.
Dimitriadis offered his thanks to the operator for the continuing long-term partnership.

Intralot has inked and updated several new and existing partnerships through 2020, expanding its agreement with the Dutch national lottery and its monitoring partnership in New Zealand, signing a cloud platform deal with software giant Microsoft, and entering into a gaming partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB), among others.
However, the supplier reported a 55.5% year-on-year decline in revenue for the first half of 2020 as its B2B and B2C operations suffered as a result of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Revenue for the six months to 30 June fell to €168.2m (£150.6m/$199.2m), and over this period revenue from its licensed operations (B2C) division collapsed, falling 74.9% to €57.7m.
