This week, Genius Sports announced two separate partnerships with US-regulated prediction market operators Polymarket and Kalshi, aiming to bolster the provision of official sports data.

Both deals mark the sports data provider’s entry into the prediction markets fold.

Genius Sport partners with Polymarket

Announced on Tuesday, the sports data provider will supply Polymarket, which operates under the regulation of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), with official, real-time event data and league integrity services.

It will also provide exclusive live streaming rights for selected competitions, notably Italy’s Serie A, specifically for US audiences and support for digital marketing via Genius Sports’ media properties owned by Legend.

The collaboration is designed to connect the live streaming of Serie A matches with “related real-time event contracts”, thereby linking fan engagement with prediction market offerings.

Polymarket highlighted that the partnership enables sports leagues to monitor prediction market activity in real time and to identify irregular trading patterns.

Ari Borod, Polymarket’s president of sports business development, commented: “Live streaming, official data and integrity infrastructure play an important role in establishing an engaging product that customers can depend on.”

“As the category continues to grow, robust integrity safeguards are not simply optional; they are foundational,” added Sean Conroy, EVP of rights and partnerships at Genius Sports.

“By bringing together official data, live streaming, league IP, integrity services and the reach of our Legend media network, we are helping Polymarket deliver a differentiated and trusted experience for sports fans across the US.”

Kicking with Kalshi

Genius Sports also signed a partnership with Kalshi on Wednesday to supply real-time data across a broad soccer portfolio, including the English Premier League, Serie A, Liga MX, Argentine Primera División and Ligue 1 in France.

It will also provide complementary marketing, media outreach and integrity services as well as participation in Genius Sports’ information-sharing frameworks.

Adam Barrick, Kalshi’s head of sports partnerships, stated: “We’re proud to partner with Genius Sports with their proven track record in providing the highest quality sports data and working alongside leagues to protect the transparency of sporting competitions.”

Both deals will take effect immediately and apply to eligible users within the United States, marking a significant step in the ongoing development of sports prediction markets firmly grounded in official data and integrity controls.

In other news, Sportradar also announced similar multi-year partnerships with both Kalshi and Polymarket in June.

Speaking on their Q2 earnings call this week, CEO Carsten Koerl was extremely bullish on the opportunity for prediction market contracts to boost revenues for the data supplier.

“With our premium content, global scale and unmatched product portfolio and capabilities, predictions market is a natural adjacency.

“It expands the US TAM by opening up new states, attracting new players and increasing engagement with sports,” he added.

Genuis’ partnership comes a few months after it announced its acquisition of gaming media technology platform Legend. The deal was valued at $1.2 billion, including $900 million at the close of the deal and an earnout of up to $300 million.
