SIS relaunches retail television service

SIS has announced it is to relaunch its retail television service to bookmakers.

SIS has announced it is to relaunch its retail television service to bookmakers.

The supplier said that the service will be introduced in two stages; the first of which is scheduled for January 1, and the second April 1.

SIS said the reason for the split start is to allow for a short period of transition on the SIS FACTS and SIS+ TV channels for British racing content from the end of 2017 – when its right deal for Northern courses expires – to April 1, 2018, when racing content from RMG courses will be introduced to the service.

From January 1, SIS FACTS will still include British racing from Chelmsford City, Leicester, Stratford, and Taunton, as well as Irish racing.

Other content that will feature on SIS FACTS includes international racing from France, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Latin America and the US, and greater virtuals content.

In addition, British greyhound racing and 49s numbers and established virtual racing will remain on SIS FACTS.

Meanwhile, SIS+ will continue to show British and Irish horse and greyhound racing, Indian and UAE horse racing, the overflow of French and German horse racing, as well as additional virtuals.

On April 1, the SIS service will be provided across two complementary channels, with SIS saying that the second channel ensures content is covered thoroughly with more build-up.

Paul Witten, product director at SIS, said “After much anticipation, we are pleased to announce the relaunch of the SIS service, which have been a staple within British and Irish betting shops for over 30 years.

“We have worked to ensure that the SIS service schedules are optimised for customers’ needs, and will maximise value for bookmakers.”
