Sportradar acquires MOCAP Analytics
Sportradar US has completed the acquisition of MOCAP Analytics, a company that specialises in analysing player-tracking and related data.
In a statement, Sportradar said that deal will combine its expertise in sports data with MOCAP’s knowledge of and experience in AI-powered data storytelling.
Sportradar said it will work with MOCAP to pursue new opportunities to develop player-tracking data products to engage fans of major sports leagues, such as North America’s NBA basketball competition and the NFL American football league.
Carsten Koerl, founder and chief executive of Sportradar, said: “MOCAP Analytics has developed premiere AI-powered data storytelling software and algorithms for fan engagement and they have been creating rich NBA and NFL content for years.
“By combining their software and algorithms with our data and partnerships, our clients will be able to deliver snackable, visual and original content across all platforms and channels worldwide.”
