Entain to launch Inspired’s virtual sports

| By Robert Fletcher
Entain, the gambling operator previously known as GVC Holdings, has agreed a deal to launch Inspired Entertainment’s range of virtual sports games.

Under the agreement, Entain will offer Inspired’s virtual sports content across both its online and land-based retail portfolio of gambling brands.

Entain counts the likes of Ladbrokes, Coral, BetMGM, bwin, Sportingbet, Eurobet, partypoker, partycasino, Gala and Foxy Bingo among its brands.

“Inspired has been a trusted key supplier and their virtuals have proven to be very popular with our customers in both our retail venues and via our interactive platforms,” Entain chief operating officer Sandeep Tiku said.

“We have been impressed with their continued innovation in Virtuals and we are excited that even more of our customers will be able to enjoy Inspired’s best-in-class content for the first time.”

Inspired president and chief operating officer Brooks Pierce added: “Inspired and Entain have been collaborating closely for the past decade through a successful partnership in both the online and retail channels.

“This new agreement is testament to the strength of our offerings and we look forward to extending our long-standing relationship and opening it up to new territories for Inspired, including North America, with Entain’s recognised brands.”

The deal comes after Entain last week confirmed the appointment of Jette Nygaard-Andersen as its new chief executive.

Nygaard-Andersen replaces Shay Segev, who stepped down from the role earlier this month in order to become co-CEO of sports streaming platform Dazn.
