Easy Payment Gateway has opened its first office in the English capital of London and also confirmed the appointment of Jonathan Gonzalez Rambal as its head of business development UK.

The online payment specialist said it opted to establish a base in London after an upturn in demand for its services in the country, with the company now boasting more than 230 acquirers and payment methods worldwide.

To coincide with the opening, Easy Payment has also handed Rambal the task of driving growth in the UK and on a global scale.

Rambal joins from Paysafe Group, where he was business development manager for more than three years.

“I am delighted to join Easy Payment at such an exciting time for the company; London is fast becoming the global leader in fin-tech, and EPG sets the standard in the sector,” Rambal said.

“I’m looking forward to strengthening the relationships we have with our current UK and international clients, as well as forging new partnerships with businesses that can benefit from our cutting-edge technology.”

Jose Peral, chief operating officer at Easy Payment, added: “We are delighted to open our London office; the city is a hub for innovative fin-tech companies, and EPG certainly fits into that category.

“It allows us to meet the increase in demand for our products and services, and to also forge closer relationships with our UK clients and those further afield. I’d like to welcome Jonathan to the team, too.”
