Paysafe Group-owned brands Skrill and NETELLER have announced that they are to withdraw prepaid MasterCard services from more than 100 countries around the world.

From November 25 next year, only citizens of countries within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) will be able to use the MasterCards to withdraw funds directly from their e-wallets.

The SEPA region includes 20 member-countries of the European Union (EU), as well as six other nations that have agreements in place with the EU.

The decision will mean that customers in countries such as Australia, Brazil and Russia will no longer have access to the service, although it is believed that the US will not be impacted by the move.

Skrill and NETELLER cite online gambling players as the largest group of users of their prepaid MasterCard services.
