DAZN brings in Entain veteran to lead betting and gaming push
In the new role, Turnbull will be tasked with developing DAZN’s strategy for betting and gaming and creating partnerships in the space.
He will join his former chief executive, Shay Segev, who left the operator to become DAZN’s new co-CEO earlier this year, months after taking charge of Entain.
“[Turnbull’s] expertise will help DAZN amplify our offerings around the world, giving sports fans the best end-to-end experience on one platform,” DAZN said.
Turnbull most recently worked at Amazon Web Services, as a global go-to-market specialist, with a focus on gambling.
Prior to this, he worked as client services director at Microgaming and head of B2B at Entain, helping to establish the BetMGM joint venture with MGM in the latter role.
Segev was replaced at Entain by Jette Nygaard-Andersen, and the operator is now subject of a $22.40bn bid from DraftKings.
