Danish national regulator Spillemyndigheden has reported a year-on-year rise in online gambling revenue for the fourth quarter of 2017.
Gross revenue for the country’s overall gambling market increased 6.9% on the final quarter of 2016.
Online casino revenue, including poker, was up 16.7% on a year-on-year basis and also up 5% on the third quarter of 2017.
Sports betting, which was cited as the main contributor to an overall revenue rise in Q3, was up 29% year-on-year and 23.8% quarter-on-quarter.
However, Denmark’s seven land-based casinos collectively reported a 3.3% year-on-year decline in revenue during the fourth quarter, as well as a 4.4% drop on the third quarter.
