The Romanian National Lottery has announced that it is to temporarily suspend pool betting services in the country, due to recent changes in national gambling legislation.

In a statement, the Lottery said that as of today (Tuesday), the Pronosport and Prono_S services will not be available to punters in the country.

New legislation requires the Lottery to obtain certain licences from the country’s regulatory body in order to operate the pool betting services.

The Lottery said that it has already submitted the required documents to obtain the necessary licences and has already secured certain approvals.

The statement added that the suspension of services is temporary while the new licensing process is completed.
