The deal will see Amuleto Bet featured in the team’s grounds and on its training jerseys, and also includes physical and digital advertising, weekly publications on the club’s official social media pages, a banner on the club’s website, and more.

“We are very happy to announce the partnership with Atlético Goianiense,” said Thomas Carvalhães, regional director for Brazil & Latam at AmuletoBet.

“It is a club that has been highlighted in competitions and will help us in our mission to be recognised as the main sports betting house operating in Brazil. We hope to bring luck to the club.”

Adson Batista, president of Atlético Goianiense, added: “The arrival of a new master sponsor is very important for Atlético Goianiense. We were very judicious in our choice and we chose AmuletoBet as it is a serious, responsible company with great growth potential in the Brazilian market.”

The brand partnership debuted yesterday (18 July) in Goianiense’s match against São Paulo-based Palmeiras, which was featured on Rede Globo, the largest commercial TV network in Latin America.

Through the deal, Atlético Goianiense becomes the latest Brazilian club to secure a sponsorship deal with a sports betting or igaming brand.

In February, Rio de Janeiro-based Fluminense FC signed a sponsorship deal with online operator Betmotion, which saw the brand featured on the club’s shirt until January 2022.

OPAP-owned online brand Betano subsequently became Fluminense’s main sponsor in June, after the operator struck a similar deal with Clube Atlético Mineiro in January.

Betmotion signed another year-long deal with Athletico Paranaense in June, and earlier this month Coingaming Group-owned Sportsbet.io became the main sponsor of São Paulo FC until the end of 2024, marking the largest sponsorship agreement in the team’s history.
